Description
The dead of winter is upon Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but the intrepid citizens of Loch Mallaig still manage to find ways to make life more exciting in their quaint Scottish town. Bread on Arrival bakehouse owners Molly Ferris, Laura Donovan, and Carol MacCallan are especially eager to liven up their February with events at the town's Winter Faire--however, discovering a buried skeleton during a chocolate making class led by TV star Devon Macintosh wasn't exactly what they had in mind. The victim's identity is revealed as Marla Bannerman, a young woman who went missing from Superior Bay College eleven years earlier, the same time Devon and several other locals were undergraduates. As Molly digs deeper into the case, it becomes clear that more than one person on campus had a bone to pick with Marla, leading Molly to wonder which classmate is to blame for her death. The stakes are raised to epic proportions, however, when one of the suspects is found murdered at the Winter Faire--and poor Carol is implicated in the crime. Compelled to get justice for Marla, exonerate Carol, and uncover a current-day killer before someone else winds up dead, Molly pours her heart into solving the murders. Will she uncover the truth in time, or will she be the next Loch Mallaig lass to be put in grave danger?
