Description
A drama about the lives of a group of midwives who care for expectant mothers in the East End of London. It is now 1964 and times are changing, from the introduction of the contraceptive pill, to cancer-screening programs, and the construction of new high-rise buildings. The nuns and nurses continue to face challenging medical issues, and for one of them, romance could be on the horizon.
