One of Ali Reynold's classmates from the Arizona Police Academy is gunned down and left to die and it is assumed that he was the victim of the drug wars escalating across the border. But the crime scene investigation shows there is much more to it than that and soon the wounded police officer is under suspicion for wrong doing. Ali Reynolds is asked to investigate the incident involving her troubled friend.
