Viewing copy (VBH 3092-3093) was broadcast on PBS's Masterpiece theatre with a running time of 120 min. LC also has a master copy of The shiralee, which copyright descriptive material indicates was originally broadcast on the BBC on 10/21/87. Variety indicates that it was subsequently broadcast on the Australian Seven Network television on 6/26/88. PBS version is probably a shorter version of the same program.

Description
A tough outback character takes his ill daughter back to Lily, the one person that will have him, and nurses her back to health. When his vengeful ex-wife threatens to take his daughter, he has to make the most difficult decision of his life.
